Sewing Machine cover

I know its kinda boring but its better then
1-leaving it out or
2- using the ugly white plastic cover that came with it.

It took all of 5 lines to stitch together (2 sides, 2 corners, one hem) and about an hour with ironing and cutting and sewing.

Sandwich bag

I made a sandwich bag from this web site. I had a real hard time working with the plastic baggie. Maybe its just me? the plastic didn't stay still even when I pinned it? But I thought it wouldn't matter too much but I don't think a sandwich will actually fit in it?

This is the flap on the back.

This is it closed with no sandwich but it looks way too small to fit a sandwich in it?
Maybe its ok I will test it tomorrow with a sandwich.

I made pillow cases for the boys today

Heres Jacob'sI forgot to take a pic before he took it to bed so here's Chase's ha ha

He wanted a star pattern on it so it looked like a magic pillow.

Here's the straps. I added some stitches.

Here's the button flap. I sewed around it twice for look and durability. It's kinda off center but I don't care.
Here's the front. I forgot to put Pellon in it so its thinner. Oops. I made the pockets huge too. I don't know if I like it or not. But they are big! Also I bought a great button for this and Gilli (or so I thought) took it and lost it. So I ended up using this one.Here's the top. (Closed)

It's about 10" x 17" and the straps are like 22"
I don't know how long this one took since I didn't pay attention. And after I started sewing Gilli "lost" my button that I bought to use and I searched the whole house for it. (Later finding it under a small paper on the table I was sewing at all day, oh well) Then Jason took us out to dinner for Chase's birthday since he didn't have school tonight. (some kind of teacher thing)
Anyway this is it, my first bag that I kinda designed on my own. I did get tips from these blogs though.

I made a pin cushion?

Kinda? I'm not sure if I like it or not? But here it is nonetheless.
I only made the right one. I just put the other on in the pic for reference to how big it is.

Two More!!

I made two bags the "same" but reversed.

It took me a bit longer to make two at the same time since I cut, ironed, and sewed all the pieces at the same time. But they are cute and I made them and they are done. Whoo Hoo!!! Now for something a bit different??? maybe, I really like these bags!!!

This is the material I just bought. I plan on making at least 4 bags with it. I am not sure why or for who but I just really want to make them . :)

This will be bag number one. I let Savannah pick the colors.

Today we all kinda did something different Chase and Jacob had a birthday party they went to, Jason had friends over to play on motorcycles, Taylor and I made more purses. These are the ones I made I didn't get pics of hers. :(
