Only a couple washcloths

I made a couple more and thought I'd take a picture. There are 12 here and two on my sink being used and 3 I gave to Monique. Plus the one on top I didn't count cuz well its not done. :) I finished off the pick variegated color and am almost done with the blue. My goal was to use all my cotton thread so I am about one washcloth away from that. Yeah! I even bought a tiny ball of cotton to keep me going since I am almost done with my blue. But I think I will only get two out of that one. but still cute. I got a green, blue, yellow, color.

oh ya I have been making the last ones while watching the show Medium. lol Since I cant watch the show I want until Aug 30th.

More Washcloths

Ok so I made some more while I watched Sons of Anarchy.
I really like the blue ones so I just kept making them after the pink one.
I originally was gonna make every other color.

What to make next?

I have a list growing everyday (Since I keep reading peoples craft blogs) of things I want to try and make.
I have made 13 purses, 10 pin cushions, 2 pillow cases, sandwich bag, 2 sewing machine covers, 3 ruffled shirts, 2 car visors, recovered a chair, 3 coasters, and did I mention all the purses I made? So my question is what do I make next?

Shower Curtain (the problem is I don't have a curtain in my bathroom)
Quilted Tool Carrier (need more instructions)
Skirt (afraid to start)
Bungee cord cover (do I really need a bungee cord cover)
Camera case
Tube Quilting (afraid to start)
Square coasters
Fitted Sheets
Stairway gate (need pipe and a way to attach it to the wall)

or do I go back to making more purses and pin cushions?

More Flowers

I made more flowers for my sewing machine cover but I don't really like them but at least the first flower isn't lonely anymore. ;)

More Coasters!

I like this one the best I think I might make them all, all the same color. The first one was random so I could try it. The second one was for one of the kids, but neither one I really like I really like the new polka dot one.

Redo Chair

Simple Before

and After

Sewing Machine cover

Made a new one, the other one was too small so I gave it to my mom who just happens to love RED!!! WIN WIN!!!
Ok so I made this out of extra fabric, so yes its orange, oh well at least--I wont lose it ha ha
I made a flower for this one too. He seems kinda lonely though? My favorite part is the rick rack I sewed to the bottom I used my special Zig Zag foot that has a 1/4" ribbon feed to keep the rick rack in place as you sew and I love it!!!Can you see the little whole at the bottom?

One More Purse

Pin Cushions

I made more hee heeThis one is a bigger one that I am gonna put Velcro on so I can put it anywhere I want.

Coaster!

I couldn't sleep so I made a coaster
I got the pattern from HERE.
It took a total of like 20 min.
I think the hardest part was not knowing what fabrics to use or if I should try to match them.
Here is the top.
Top with a glass on it.
The bottom.
That's it not much to see but it was great
and if I ever need it for a wine glass I am prepared. lol

Car Visor

I made one for my mom and one for me. Mine seems a bit smaller than I planned. But I still like it I just have to make it bigger to start next time.
Mine has a pocket on the right side. My pocket goes upright. The top "pencil pocket" on the left is bigger then the rest but I haven't figured out what to put there yet. I don't need a glasses pocket so I made it smaller. (Yes I had a tire gauge and crochet hook handy to put in there, you 'know' you need both!) My moms has a glasses pocket at the top left, and a big pocket on the right. I made my moms pocket go side ways and have a flap closure. (Again I had these things in my kitchen handy to put in there for the pic)

Tutorial Tuesday

Sewing Machine Cover

I started with a yard of material.

1. measure your fattest parts of your sewing machine.
mine measured 13"high 16" wide 6" deep (until I finished it and realized my removable arm wasn't on and its 8" oh well)

2. fold it in half and cut a piece (using the fold)15" by 23"
keep the fold on the bottom and cut the side the 23" and the top 15" you get a piece 23" by 30"
keeping it folded sew the sides together right sides facing.

3. Then lay it back out. Cut the folded side corners 3" on each side like this.
4. Then pull the straight edges together and sew like this.5. Then fold the bottom over to hem it. I folded it and didn't like the raw edge on the inside so I folded it twice and sewed all the way around. That's it you have a perfectly boring cover. :)

6. I thought it was too boring so I bought a gathering foot and made some flowers to sew on to it. I just used the gathering foot on a leftover 1 in strip and twisted it. and then hand sewed it on.
But at least its not boring anymore. :)

Sewing Machine cover

I know its kinda boring but its better then
1-leaving it out or
2- using the ugly white plastic cover that came with it.

It took all of 5 lines to stitch together (2 sides, 2 corners, one hem) and about an hour with ironing and cutting and sewing.
